How the New Zealand CAA Medical will look ridiculous in 50yrs time from an overseas point of view using a 1948 rule that nobody uses anymore except NEW ZEALAND. The 1%- 2% rule has never been a compulsory ICAO rule and has never been recommended by the ICAO. Just think about the progress of Aviation Medicine, surgery, science in the year 2007.
